Here at K9 Union we have many types of training programs ranging from beginning training with new German shepherd puppies to Home Protection Training. Most people don’t realize that they need to start training their new German shepherd puppy from the moment that they get home. Don’t you want to start your new puppy down the path of obedience and lead a peaceful and happy life together? There is more then meets the eye when training your puppy. That is why we here a K9 Union have a training program for your new German shepherd puppy. Our first training is a four week training program where your puppy begins training at 8 weeks old.. The puppies are separated from their litter mates to start their first training.
Basic Training will include:
- House Training
- Crate Training
- Traveling by vehicle in the kennel
- Walking on leash without pulling
- Sit, Down, Come on command
- Socialization and preparing puppy for protection program Price: $750.00
All of this training will help you and your new puppy fully enjoy being together without the stress that can come along with training. It will also prepare your puppy for further advancement into our training programs. All training requires a 25% down payment due before training has begun.
We are also pleased to offer training for those who would like to have their new German shepherd puppy trained for basic home protection. This type of training would require a pre training consultation fee of $250.00 which would included a 3 days stay at our facility which would be credited towards the total training fee for protection training. If you have purchased one of our German shepherd puppies here at K9 Union and at the time of purchase decided to train your dog for home protection the $250.00 fee is waived and would not apply.
Basic German Shepherd Home Protection Includes:
- Protection against any sign of treat for you or your family members from violent attackers
- Protection against break in’s into your home or vehicle (if dog is inside)
- Protections against forced entry Price: $4,500.00

We also offer our client’s the opportunity to purchase a directly imported fully trained protection dog.
The fully trained German shepherd will consist of the following:
- Basic home protection against multiple violent attackers, protecting against abduction from any stranger approaching children.
- Command on and off instantly with simple commands
- Show aggression without tension on the leash
- Automatically protect when assaulted on direct attack command
- Fully obedient: sit, sit stay, down, down stay, heel, heel off leash, come, jump, release from any bite. Take no food from strangers. Go into his/her place on command

Please be aware that in the ownership of any pet/protection dog there is a responsibility that the owner incurs in having a German Shepherd that is trained to protect. Various extra responsibilities may include and are not limited to : having a fenced in yard with a gate that can be locked, putting the dog away when strangers come to prevent any type of confrontation, advising people that your dog has been trained to bite, keep in mind while entering into social situations that your dog has been trained to react depending on level of training. Our German shepherds have wonderful temperaments and we only train German Shepherds who do have the capability and stability to be trained in such a matter. However we cannot control external environmental conditions and need to make the new owner/trainer aware of the new responsibilities that come along with protection. An knowledgeable owner makes for a knowledgeable protector.
